Wow.

That was particularly tough to watch because we recently found out our 13.5 year old blue heeler, Bindi, has cancer in her kidney, liver and spleen. We are trying chemo with her. She had her second injection yesterday. So far it has really changed her life as she has less stiffness, seems genuinely happier, and can exercise/do more. Chemo doesn't generally affect dogs as badly as humans. She can be a little off her food for a day or so, then back to normal. This is apparently true for most dogs. Unlike humans who can get really sick, loose hair, etc. Nice to see the chemo worked out for this guy as it often doesn't.

This video just re affirms to live and enjoy everyday you have to the max!

Thank you for posting.

I went to the park today with my son to kick a football.
And the ball got into the dog $hit as usual, and my boy steped into the dog $hit as usual, but hey..!
For the first time I wasn't cranky at all, just laughed.. Thanks to the vid, I am a better man now

Dammit - now I ... uh... have something stuck in my eye. I'm sure it's a bit of dust - I'll be fine.

Yep, me too...
I just got back from taking my old Labrador for a walk and sat down to watch this.

We give our dogs whatever time and love we can spare,
and they give us their all...

Thanks for putting that up. I had to put my best mate down last week. He was with me everywhere. He was 12 years old so we had a great time together. His heart started failing. There was nothing that I could do. Its funny how they let you know they are ready to go.

I miss him heaps. RIP Logan.

My second post here...

What am I??
What am I?
I will never judge you
I will never hold a grudge against you
I will always be happy to see you and not to proud to show it
I will never take you for granted
I will always be there for you, to hug and hold
I will never turn away from you
I will never conspire against you
I will always uplift you
I will never do you wrong
I will love you unconditionally
I will make you laugh and you will look silly doing it!
What am I that could be all these things?
What am I that is devoid of negativity?
What am I that has no dark side or ulterior motive, no need to possess or control?
WHAT AM I!?!?
I am a dog
I am your best friend
I will die before you so you can realise the depth of loss that can exist for the departed.
I will make you smile in the months that follow my passing as you recall good times.
I am like no other animal on this planet.
I am a dog and we are both richer for the experience of my being in your life.
Remember me as the positive presence that I always was to you. Thank you for making my life the best it could be.
I have no more love to give and we know I gave lots!!
Take my lesson's and make each day better for those around you
I am no more.
I was a dog.
A dog called Jaffa..
RIP Pet Pig!!
