I was wondering did anyone from here go to Barcelona recently? Actually, I will be there next month to attend a seminar. I was thinking maybe I would go for a day or two, sightseeing over there. Any recommendations are appreciated.

I was there in July 2019 for a week. Lots to see, if you don't mind queues. City was overrun and choking with tourists. I found it a bit stifling tbh.

I haven't been there for a decade. Loved the place. If Paris had a cool cousin, this'd be it. I stayed at a hotel on the beach where the red circle is, didn't need a car for sightseeing from here. Kitesurfing isn't permitted in town during summer, you'd need to drive down to the red circle, no car so I didn't make it. I love Perth beaches but Barcelona is just better.

Loved Barcelona, but it was the only place in Europe I had my pocket picked and wallet stolen.

The Gaudi stuff is fantastic.

Hot chocolate that you can stand your spoon up in.

The hotel where I am staying is close to Sagrada, and it's about 20 minutes driving distance from Sebsatia Beach. I guess I will be getting Uber for those rides. I actually got a local guide from gowithguide.com/spain/barcelona and booked a day tour. I think it will save a bit of time. Though I am on my own for the rest of the exploring.
