A lithium a day could keep Alzheimer's away

"Replenishing the brain's natural stores of lithium can protect against, and even reverse, Alzheimer's disease in mice. Researchers found that in human brain tissue and mice, a decline in lithium concentration in the brain is linked to memory loss and the neurological hallmarks of Alzheimer's - protein build-ups called amyloid plaques and tau tangles. The team found that these neurological changes were reversed in mice given a supplement containing a compound called lithium orotate. The molecule also restored the brain to a younger, healthier state and rolled back memory loss."

I've sent this to a mate who's a PhD neuroscientist. His wife has dementia, I'll let you know what he says. We had coffee last week and she's still sharp as a tack, my other mate who had it was already in a wheelchair this far after diagnosis.

In a similar vein, was flicking through this article this morning about Parkinson's.

As I'm getting older, I'm seeing a few contemporaries showing early on-set signs of various types brain dysfunction. From my readings, life choices (diet, exercise, work type...) and genetics play a large role for afflicted individual. It's also a very difficult topic to broach with life long friends and family when attempting to address concerns.

I haven't read all of the full article in detail. Interesting points for me was that Lithium Orotate reversed some mental decline, orotate and carbonate are two very different things, low doses worked better than high doses, people in Denmark where lithium occurs naturally in drinking water had less incidence of Alzheimer's than expected.

I've been doing Wordle for 3 years and the New York Times mini crossword for 5 years. If the lithium orotate works... I'll know.

FWIW: Lithium Orotate does not seem to be a significant toxicological substance even at maximum doses.

Got mine a year ago after watching this.

thehighwire.com/ark-videos/are-lithium-and-vitamin-d-the-missing-keys-to-mental-health/

Lions Mane mushroom, vitamin D, omega 3, sunlight and exercise could help too.

Avoiding aluminium and seed oils could potentially lower the risk of mental health problems too.
Aluminium is in alot of processed baked products, makeup and the V??

Here's the link to the full episode

Dragons blood capsules ???

I googled it.

What is Cultivate Elevate Dragon's Blood?

It's a vibrant red resin from select trees (Dracaena, Croton, Calamus genera), historically and presently prized for its exceptional healing and protective properties for internal health, now offered by Tides of Vitality in capsule form.
