If there was a vaccine that actually worked I'd take your advice. Getting multiple jabs a year to deal with this is not a solution I'm happy with as I'll be increasing my chances of an adverse reaction with each jab. Adverse reactions seem to be mainly a problem for under 45 year olds. When I get Covid I'll let you know how I go.

The vaccine is not a one size fits all approach. The difference in death levels from Covid between an 80 year old and 25 year old is like 1000-1. We were told we all had to get the jab to protect ourselves and others. Well you can forget about not spreading it if your vaccinated. How did omicron get into the country? By unvaccinated air travellers?

So all you're left with is protecting yourselves and at my age bracket with no comorbidities my chance of survival is 99.96%. I'll take my chances against a vaccine that has already been a problem for 2 of my friends.

And anyway, if I die there's one less person creating green house gases & flying drones at your local windsurf spot...you should be happy I'll be gone!

Well, this guy was telling us in the podcast that Omicron wasn't as transmissible as Delta.

I guess he got that wrong as the Omicron variant takes over the world!

that the government's current approach was based on falling numbers BEFORE the Omicron variant... I guess we all know that numbers are rocketing up, yet the pollies are steadfastly holding onto their idea of opening up and not even wearing masks.

I think we are in for a bit of a hangover after Christmas, and to my mind they wont be calling an election until very late in May in order to let people forget about this stuff up in reopening too early.

WA are lucky in a way. We have been given a date where we will open up, but you would hope that if the rest of the country is not sorted by then, that date should slip.

It's just a well written essay, about Mark Lanegan's personal experience written after almost dying from COVID.

At this juncture what is the value in putting forth a particular point of view on vaccination?

You are either a) part of the 94% who had it because you wanted to, or had it even though you didn't want to, or b) you are in the 5% who haven't had it and are not going to.

Its a bit like arguing about whether removing pump handles to stop cholera outbreaks is government overreach in 1856. It was topical in September 1854, a year or so later its getting pretty tedious - personally i would prefer to hear your opinions on bitcoin.

Or ripple, and why it hasn't had such runaway success when it is a much better platform for institutional use, further reinforcing that bitcoin prices are rampant speculation.

You must be better than most doctors in that you can categorically say the virus only affects those that have mismanaged their health.

It's like saying heart disease only affects those that have mismanaged their health, and ignoring that some people are more predisposed to it than others.

Just got this text message from a friend. I blocked out the names. The Facebook post is his mate. Add another couple to my indirect tally.

Hmmm, so it seems that there are more people out there than we realise, who know a few or more people who have suffered the 'very rare' side effects from these experimental vaccines.

Whilst the counter arguement evidence put forward by the pro-experimenters, is to link to a news story about some rando they don't personally know who suffered in some way from getting covid.

Surely it should be the other way around...
