So my other half comes home from catching up with the girls and say that someone suggested that Trump could be faking it!

At first I kinda laughed and then I thought

Where's heavy weather when you need it?

I'm on another v.different forum to Seabreeze with a big cross section of the population and someone put a poll up. Resounding majority of people think he's faking it. People were predicting this would happen back at the start of September.

Everything he writes, says, or even his facial gestures are twisted into something that can discredit him.
99% of the media has an industrial level bias against him, Biden (democrats ) initially criticised him for
shutting the country down too early, now every death is his fault.
Its all political games, even Biden hiding from the public is part of it.
Both candidates are deeply flawed, it's a failing of western democracy that a geriatric demented
fool is representing both sides, pick the least afflicted moron, according to your taste.

Enough other Republicans have contracted it, so he's not faking it.

But it does make me think did someone from the other side somehow intend him to get it this close to the election?

I made a sarcastic post on FB to the same effect, then scrolled down and lo and behold, someone was saying the same thing. But seriously.

The loony lefties like to pretend that conspiracy theories are the sole domain of the right. Yeah nah.

Recent survey says 1 in 4 university-age students don't think representative democracy is a good way to govern a nation. Makes you wonder what they think the better alternative is...

I'm in the he's faking it camp, the bonus is the unequaled free press coverage.

Just read that one of his doctors has described his drive by out the front of the hospital as insanity, a piece of political theater.
Who would have guessed.??

It would be funny as fk if he was faking it. There's too many moving parts to pull it off without someone snitching.

Al ?

Al who ?

Al Pacino ? - maybe he understands the US political system too well ?
"In this country, you gotta make the money first. Then when you get the money, you get the power. Then when you get the power, then you get the women."

Al Gore ? - not much point in that. We reached the point of no return in 2016 (according to Al Gore in 2006) so what's the point of anything ?

Alf "stone the flaming crows" Stewart - yes, I see the benefit of that.. but he is an Alf not an Al.

so.... Al Bundy ?

Hurray! I'm young again!

I've followed them for a while. Even voted for them.

That said, as brilliant and fresh an idea as it is, I am not sure it will work *technically*. There are some gaping holes where it can be gamed. As it is currently you register to vote anonymously, great, except to keep anonymity means you can register as someone else too, and so on.

Note that this has already worked, somehow, in Italy. See the Five Star Movement who actually hold government.

Artificial intelligence. I think that we all humans will be better of if all decisions will be taken by AI,
food grown by robots, goods/items manufactured by machines, money printed by printers.
Then we could at last what we like the most:
1) eat
2) drink beer
3) have sex
4) windsurf
**** order may differ from person to personal preferences.

You just solved ...everything with two letters! Amazing!

Anyway, every solution creates another problem. Right? Every technological solution since and including fire has created its own problems. the problems AI creates are just going to be even harder problems to surmount. Again.

Does anyone really need to ask if it is real??
