I understand your point of view, but again your focus on the individual is missing the whole point.
Obviously there are things we can do as individuals, however thimble-bailing it is.
Time and again the government has shown that they don't hold the peoples' best interests at heart, so I find an expectation in them changing things for us to be slightly naive.
It's up to the people to put pressure on the government(s) to make the largest contributors to climate change accountable.
As hard as that may be with fat uncle Larry lighting the pollies' cigars with those $100 bills, it's not impossible.
