I challenge all coffee snobs to pick the difference in taste between their $10 cafe one and quality beans in a one cup press thing done at home. Once u add the milk and sugar etc I bet none of you can.

Like wines where the experts even picked red and whites as the OTHER colour in blind tests. It's all keeping up with the Jones' w^nk

ONCE YOU ADD THE MILK AND SUGAR WTF?!?!?!

Reported as offensive. I coughed/spat out my double ristretto when I read this.

There's a new Oscar: http://www.nuovasimonelli.it/en/prodotti/macchine-tradizionali/oscar-ii-en.html

Coles servo
80 cents for a small cup
You can fit 3 shots of espresso in the small cup
And is still only 80 cents
Everyone else commenting on this thread is stupid

If you go down the path of a fully manual machine (as you should ) then a (good) Barista training course would be quite helpful as well, especially if you want to froth your milk yourself. I got mine paid by work and I learned a few things that made things a lot easier. It wasn't even expensive, around 100$ for 2.5hrs if my memory is correct
