Conservationism is most closely associated with truth itself by its nature.
Progressivism is mostly a digression from established norms and truths, by their very nature.
www.etymonline.com/word/conservative"late 14c., conservatyf, "tending to preserve or protect, preservative, having the power to keep whole or safe," from Old French conservatif, from Medieval Latin conservativus, from Latin conservatus, past participle of conservare "to keep, preserve, keep intact, guard," from assimilated form of com-, here perhaps an intensive prefix (see com-), + servare "keep watch, maintain" (from PIE root *ser- (1) "to protect")."
When we are mindful of truth, it's natural to conserve that truth. When instead we are attempting to upset the natural order that includes truth itself, like Carl Marx's Communist Manifesto for example, we are working against the natural order and instead, fostering systems of control, politics of division and artificial classifications constructed by a madman that, remove us from the natural order of things and truth.
Notions of right and left are not useful in finding truth, and are designed like most artificial constructs to stymie us from finding any truth whatsoever. For example, the truth is that there are only two sexes in
Homo sapiens and any diversion from this truth is either an anomaly of the natural order by defect of gestation or after-birth, or an artificial philosophical construct of public discourse. It is neither right wing, left wing nor has anything to do with bias. Gender studies has further clouded our pursuit of truth, since the topic has reached such a broad spectrum of fantasy that finding any truth is next to impossible.
