I'm expecting a parcel, when I checked the tracking details, I was surprised to find this.

I wasn't aware there was any such thing, but their write up sounds good, I've no idea about pricing, but that doesn't look bad either.

What's the odds the packaging is made for recycled cardboard?

Odds are good? I just got a new board from Axis, and the board was fully wrapped in a cardboard sock, like thin-walled honeycomb, maybe 15mm thick.

The rest of it sounds like BS though

I think most people into the sports covered by seabreeze would need way more than a couple of carbon neutral packages to feel warm and fuzzy. Anyone calculated the seabreezers' carbon footprint? No? Didn't think so, don't go there.

Think you can pay to carbon offset yourself someone will gladly take your money.
Al gore does it ,but he buys and sells credits to himself.

i don't believe it
maybe the wrapping is recycled but the fuel to get it to you isn't, unless it's delivered by a trained pigeon or perhaps bicycle it's just not possible

It's offsets. they calculate the amount of carbon produced, then pay to have that amount of carbon removed. Ie planting trees, installing renewables etc.

It all does sound a bit too good to be true. I wonder if these claims can be audited?

How about this. Claiming a carbon credits by comparing carbon emission from a possible a fire in the middle of summers verse lighting one in winter. I wonder if I can start claiming carbon credits by
- walking to the shop instead of driving my car.
- using 2 sheets of toilet paper instead of three
- Or when my car breaks down and I take the council bus to work
- Installing an air conditioner and never turning it on.
- Not mowing the grass on the council foot path.

If I get enough ideas, I might be able to give up work and live off carbon credits due to a life style change.

Yeah I walk to work and to the shops & most other places I need or want to go. I may perhaps drive 5km a week in a little car with a 1.3L engine. No air conditioning at home but we need to turn a heater on as it gets so cold in winter.

Seems like I'm living the future of low carbon emissions right now. Its okay but a bit boring. I think I might start burning up some fossil fuels fairly soon to have a more interesting life like I used to have.

You say that like you know it for a fact.
I think you are guessing.

A buisiness based on fossil fuels just buys a virtual licence to pollute. And at best its a guess how much c02 is produced in their deliveries.
Some middle man makes a killing out of those credits.
