I'm looking to install Apple Car Play into my 200 series Landcruiser plus some upgrade to the very dated factory stereo. I've been quoted one silly number and was hoping for other options. I've tried ringing Alberts car stereo in Osborne Park but it goes to a voicemail and they are not answering their emails - weird.

I don't mind paying reasonable dollars for a good system, just want it done well without getting ripped because I dont know much about stereos !

I had a Sony Xav ax5000 installed in my 100 series 12mths ago. I purchased the unit from Jb hifi and rang around for installations. Ended up going with carstereo.com.au in Perth. These guys were great to deal with. The Sony stereo is very good but plug in connection plays up when 4wding otherwise I can recommend this unit. HU was ~$540 and install ~ $200.

I fitted this brand from China to my 100 series a few years ago, mine doesn't have Apple Car Play but the one below for the 200 does, mine's Android 8 and works a treat. Was a 4 day delivery at the time, quicker than Sydney to Perth.

If you or one of your mates are good on the tools it's an easy fit, mine was a piece of cake, just another suggestion
