Water more expensive than fuel. Who'da thunk!?
1985 movie "WATER",
Among the cast-
Michael Caine - 'Guvnor of a largely forgotten British colonial possession,
Billy Connolly - head of the island's bumbling liberation movement,
Little British Caribbean unspoilt island paradise - forgotten by everyone, until an American oil exploration company strike....Perrier!!
Then it's on for young and old:
: the Brit's remember the largely forgotten island, [Brit's are broke and need the Perrier royalties]
: BIG OIL wants in, for truth, justice and the American way [there is more profit in Perrier than petrol]
: of course - so do the Cubans - to help out the Big Yin's Liberation front grab their independence.
IIRC, the film was made not long after the British remembered the Falklands was theirs, and the USA liberated the island of Granada from the Cubans, so any movie poking fun at both the Brit's, Yanks, any local dodgy liberation movement [and the related Cubans] got a little free publicity.
