I believe I got grazed by one when I was around 15 years old .
Trying to catch a crab in a small rock pool . Didn't see it until I knocked it and it lit up . Very vibrant and small , maybe 8 cm across .
I did panic and thought I was going to die . My hand and arm slightly ached a bit for a couple hours and that was it . I must have juuuuust nicked it .
That was in Vic and never seen one again .
I have however stood on a small stingray that sliced the sh.t out of the arch of my foot . It was like riding an aquatic hover board for a second . Didn't hurt at all until I saw the sea of blood flowing off the back of my board .
Should have got stitches but I'm tough ...... took forever to heal

On the crayboats they sit in the bait basket the amount of times as a young fella you would sit down and see a almost glowing little dot on your bib n brace wondering what it was until you realise and have a moment.
all you would see is the blue fading in and out like a siren.
never got bitten by one did however cop a good eel bite on the hand and a stun ray shock.
