What can I say other than sensational. I watched the 1982 version a couple of nights ago and wasn't sure if I was ready for another dark movie but it totally knocked my socks off. Visuals and sound were incredible so make sure you see it in VMax.

Yeah. Went in with low expectations but WOW, next level of film making. Definitely needs quality cinema to do it justice.

Breathtaking at Vmax.

I love Blade Runner, but I think 2049 is a better film all round.

Thematically, it takes the question of what it means to be human to that next level.

Better than the original! Holy ****! I never give a movie more than 4 stars until I've seen it twice, given it some thought for a year or so. This is the first exception in my life. 5 stars.

The story worked. Pacing and atmosphere was excellent. Casting was perfect. Cinematography was better than excellent. Colour space, visuals... fuuuuck. Music excellent. I... can't really fault it at all.

I suspect it is better in 2D. Am watching again tonight in 3D.

My sentiments exactly. 5.5 out of 5 stars.

2D rocks. Our brain is a better 3D emulator than those stupid illusion glasses. There's already enough illusion going on in 2D IMHO.

The light and shade, loud and quiet was incredible. At some points, the whole cinema was shuddering and the speakers groaning under that magic.

I watched the original bladerunner movie the other night for the first time since the 80's. It was exactly as I remembered it - dull, slow & disjointed
