Hi everyone, i purchased a tinny not long ago with a late 80s johnson 25hp on her.. i got it going, took her out in the water today for a couple hours n when i got it out the water this black **** was comin outta these holes.. oozing out.. the motor hadnt been run for a bloody long time, years even. My fuel to oil ratio was just over 50:1 as i was advised for a motor that hasnt been started in many years. Was oily and stunk of fuel..Any thiughts ?

Hmmm, I think you may need to see a specialist bout that one.
Ive heard of older Johnsons leaking but oily black discharge is certainly cause for concern.
If it hasn't had a run in a while I suggest you take it out and give it a damn good thrashing, make it feel like it did in the late 90s
