Arrival, loved it and thought Amy Adams excellent . Great movie.

same here - got roped in to see a premier on Monday, kinda expecting a typical invasion being beaten by a bunch of no hopers type of film.

was pretty chuffed to learn otherwise.

Given the preview (I refuse to say "trailer" cos that's arse about tit, bloody yanks) it looks like the start or basic premise is similar to "The Arrival" from mid 90's

I think the only similarities are the title and it's about aliens. You should see it and don't have any preconceived ideas about it.It's one of those movies that hold your attention from start to finish.

I thought it was a "trailer" as in comparison to a "house" i.e., the small/short version? But agreed, seems weird. Preview does sound better

You could be right though. Dunno the origins but 'trailer' for something in advance sounds dumb.

But this is from the country that gave us Arkansas / Kansas. And pronounce German names containing "Stein" as "steeeen" for all names - except Einstein, which they manage to get right. Lol

Yes, but have you seen the movie. You don't need a trailer/preview. I've done all the hard yards, bought a ticket, saw the movie and reported back to you.
It was good !!! Job done.You don't need an Einsteeen.
