Given how a lot of stink boat river users conduct themselves, i wouldn't be surprised. Most of them seem to drive their boats like they're on a rd, with the corresponding tunnel vision. Im surprised there aren't more incidents.

Hearing you the speed restricted bit after Pt Walter to Freo has me gritting my teeth at times at the downright ignorance of some people FFS your doing a leisurely activity why the rush.

I drove a boat up the river yesterday,
(I drive boats for work tough gig I know) it's 50 foot.
Yesterday driving through rocky bay there were mums on sups with babies, kids swimming in the middle of the channel, scantily clad women, a group of about ten swimmers playing waterpolo, it was an absolute hive of chaos.
Every marine and sea rescue boat/police boat was out and they were pulling in jet skis one after the other for god damn hooning.
Some fella on an older 30 footer had smoke billowing out from his engine with his missus giving him a dose from upstairs, sea rescue was on the job again.

Actually fairly orderly getting out after the show
