Maybe they could just get rid of all the people in the cities. The people on the farms can survive without the city folk, but the city folk can't survive with out the farmers. Makes you realise just who the parasite in the world are. I just can't understand why city folk give farmers such a hard time when all they are trying to do is produce enough food and primary materials for those that don't do it themselves.

Saving the planet might be as simple as just outlawing the building of cities.

That was about 5 years after it started, and the CIA is a professional organisation dedicated to secret work for one country. But that sounds like you're talking about fractional reserve banking, which has been around for hundreds of years. I think Laws' 1705 book referred to fractional reserve banking, and he did advocate money that was NOT backed by any metals; I think his bank was only 25% backed by metals in 1715. As another example, after WW1 Germany had NO gold and therefore its paper money had no such basis. So no, such proposals would NOT have got you called a conspiracy theorist, but as an economist or historian.

So what? The Brits had a global army hundreds of years ago, and they used it. The French had colonies and forces in North America (Canada and Louisiana), the Pacific (New Caledonia, Tahiti), Asia (Vietnam, part of China, etc), Africa (Morocco, Senegal, Chad, etc etc ), India, the Caribbean, the Indian Ocean, yada yada yada. The Germans had colonies in China and New Guinea before WW1. After WW2 the Russians and their satellites had forces in Europe, Asia, Africa, Central America, and under the world's oceans, and they used some of them. The fact that an alliance has bases and forces around the world is not proof that we are moving to a globalised state.

If we were getting close to a global army these days we'd have the US Navy and Air Force and Chinese Army working together. When has that happened?

Actually, the point is that someone claimed that YT was a BETTER source than the MSM because the MSM's ownership is centralised. That claim is BS.

Your claim is actually contradictory - first you claim that it's not the source of information that is the problem and then you say that we should have no faith in one source, the MSM. If your first claim is true then your second is untrue, because (as you yourself claim) it is not the source that renders information invalid.

My personal experience as someone who has worked on major investigations that have been reported as front page news in the MSM (ie the Defence Abuse enquiry, the VET FEE-help taskforce and others) and who has dealt with Fairfax and ABC investigative journalists on major stories indicates that the quality MSM generally try damn hard to get it right and are better at doing so than the vast majority of the stuff on YT.

Personally I just don't buy large-scale government conspiracy theories, because my experience indicates that governments are not effective enough to keep such stuff a secret, and because almost by definition most public servants (and I spent only a few years as one, in a variety of different positions) wouldn't get actively involved as they don't have enough incentive to maintain the enormous discipline that is required, nor enough imagination to provide the perfect cover story.
