Also from the rules:
"Do not create a thread or post complaining about the moderation action. Complaint Topics or posts will be deleted."

Not quite a deletion, just a lock for now to reiterate the message. Any further complaints will be deleted and/or complainers suspended.

Also, for the record, had I bothered to look into the topic after the first few pages and seen any anti-vax rhetoric I would probably have ended it quicker than Laurie did. But - as has been mentioned - we have better things to do than read every post on every thread.
