I just watched the Netflix take on it.
I already knew that Boeing had downplayed a modification to avoid requirements but what they did was plainly criminal, disgusting that they were able to buy their way out jail for just $2,500,000,000.00
I kinda never want to fly Boeing again, especially given the Max is such a poorly balanced machine that it relies heavily on the MCAS in the first place.

then work out how many 737max are flying and I don't see your problem
same as saying Holden's have defective front brakes so don't drive them.

Qantas has leaned heavily toward Airbus, so now all they need to do is kill Joyce, and I'll be ready to spend my points.

A respected QF captain that made the move from boeing to airbus made the comment that it was like getting out of a merc and into a hyundai, granted that was a fair while ago, but this old cabin crew member felt the same way, rattle clunk bang as they took off .

It will come down to the Captains discretion, and I'm yet to talk to one who thinks it's a good idea.

As for the 73 Max, it beggars belief that a critical redundancy was an 'opt in' option as opposed to it being a mandatory item.
