Our 22 year old fridge compartment is ok at 3 to 4 deg and with adjustment will freeze my beer - .
However the freezer struggles to go below -10c and advice states it should be -18c.
I tried adjusting the control down and beer froze in the fridge compartment with no improvement in the freezer.
I've done all the checks to get the best put of the freezer no luck.
So searched for a new fridge, none fit.
After a bit of thinking I check the guard cover on freezer fan and the grills looked excessive so cut a few off but still fan well guarded.
Now I have - 18c in the freezer and ok beer in the fridge.

I have seen one before where the fan in the freezer compartment was just a plastic fan held onto a metal shaft and it was just slipping. Without the airflow from the fan the compartment doesn't cool down much at all.

must of been a good year for fridges mine is still going to .Just need to clear all the fluff and dust that builds up around the back to reduce run times.

This got me thinking....

When I say frozen beer I mean beer that doesn't freeze until you open it.
