I so didnt miss the AFL season.

That has nothing to do with growing up an Essendon supporter.

I wish the Essendon saga would dissappear from the media. It's into its 3rd year now.

This saga wont go away......ever!
The media will forever refer to XYZ even after football as either one of "those at the Bombers" or a friend of notorious Bomber clan who was implicated.
You see it makes juicy headlines to refer in such a manner.
The media are that hell bent on coming up with a notorious eye catching or ear catching headline, the even used this in a (I think it was ch7) headline a week or so back as an ex high profile AFL footballer who had erected a "pop up" type umbrella in his back yard. It was black in colour and residence behind complained to council about its erection. Even though it was only unfurled two three times this summer. TV than panned to the AFL footballer. He maybe played 5-10 games in his whole AFL life and was an "average" knock about guy.
The point is what the @#$$#$ has being an ex AFL footballer got to do with the issue. Zilch!!! but it made a headline on a drop kick story

The media won't have Nic Nat on the front and back page and the channel 7 news every day so it will probably take you some time to adjust to the fact there is a few other teams playing in the AFL comp besides the E girls but it should be a learning experience.
