KB4 Girls teams up with the Layne Beachley Fountation
The Reach for the Stars Foundation, started by Layne Beachley in 2003 was created to assist young girls in achieving their sporting aspirations, without any financial burden holding them back. Layne herself struggled financially throughout her early surfing career, and says "There were plenty of moments when I wanted to quit but I cannot begin to imagine where I would be now if I let money dictate my love for surfing.”
Kristin Bose began running the KB4girls clinics back in 2003 - with the aim of teaching girls and women how to get more from their kiteboarding. Whether the girls want to be the next world champion, or simply have more fun at their local beach, the KB4girls camps are a fantastic weekend and all girls finish the clinic full of enthusiasm and confidence.
Proceeds from the KB4girls clinics on December 17 & 18 will be donated to the Reach for the Stars Foundation. Assisting girls to achieve their goals in the sporting world is a common goal for the two women, by teaming up they hope to allow more girls to benefit from both programs.
