I'm an apartment dwelling office worker who has no practical experience with boating except for dinghys. Was brought up on Arthur Ransome, and Spun Yarn and Bells Bottoms. I love the water, love snorkelling, and fishing, so I've bought a sailing boat. I spent all last summer fishing from shore looking at boats and wishing I had one. It can't be that hard to learn how to sail. I intend to motor out to open water and put the sails up one at a time and see what happens - cautiously of course.
