Involvement type longboards
Had 2 great sessions yesterday on my Tyler 9'6" stepdeck in clean lined up 2-3 footers. Forgot just how much fun this type of board can be! The weight gives so much momentum over dead spots, the trim from the flat rocker, the stalling pivot turns....... I just love these narrower nose/wide hippy tail, rolled bottom no concave boards, but dislike really wide nosed noseriders. The Involvement type boards force you to slow down, stand tall, and really think about your turns. Surprisingly they can whip off a great turn. The Tyler has a thinned out step deck nose which takes some swing weight out, but being volan is still heavy. Have a hankering for a McTavish or similar, perhaps a little lighter. Anyone riding an Involvement or even pig style board? Or knows of one for sale? Cheers.
