This event was held from the early 80s right up to the late 80s, maybe even into the 90s. It was organised by the Paynesville Yacht Club and the Paynesville Windsurfers. It was a huge event attracting hundreds of entries at its peak in the mid 80s and followed by a huge party at the Yacht club in the evening. The circumnavigation is about 17km, but of course the actual sailed distance would mostly be a lot greater.
