I had a few old speed fins out just looking at them recently and suddenly noticed the rake angle of the leading edge. I dont know what the significance was at the time but it struck me that it was similar to the rake on the leading edge of some contempry speed fins. Blue fin from the 80s, Pink fins Torquay assys from the early 90s and red/yellow fin Torquay symmetrical. (one I really liked!).
