Recently, 73kt winds took a few roofs off in the settlement of holiday baches (cribs. A regular haunt for Canterbury windsurfers and scene of the annual show weekend (2nd weekend in November) 'Canterbury Wind Sports Association' camp. Usually attended by 100+ sailing people from all over the South Island.
