Some time back a random bloke asked if he could use my tether to launch his kite from. Anyway to cut a long story short, after using it and then chatting to him sometime later, he said that he didn't like the knot that I had used to attach the clip to the rope and that he had re-done it with a rigging/climbing style knot that is better. He was definitely right, as once this thing locks in it is not going anywhere.

Anyway, I have since tried to work out how to do this knot and have replicated it a couple of times but with much effort. I am interested to know if anyone knows the name of this knot so that I can look up clear instructions on how to do it.

I am hoping the pictures (front side and reverse side) I have attached are clear enough to give it away and have slightly separated the knot in the first picture.
