Should Australia bomb ISIS Targets in Syria?
So guys
Whats your opinion ?
So far the coalition have carried out 2500 bombing flights against ISIS targets. most commentators feel this has not really been effective in halting the spread of ISIS. Combined land operations have had far more success, plus there are many reports of public casualties from these airstrikes. So far in Syria The US, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi And The United Arab Emirates have carried out airstrikes.
The Abbot government despite having stating in the past it is unlikely to contribute forces , reportedly requested to join the offensive and then announced it had been asked by the USA to contribute, It's looking likely they will announce something in the next few days.
I feel Australia has no purpose in this beyond home politicking and would be much better occupied assisting the the Syrian refugee crisis.
Does anyone here want the RAAF flying bombing runs over Syrian airspace and do you feel it will make a difference?
