So I couldn't hold back and got myself a skybrid in 5'9. It fits in my fbc midlength travel bag size s, but just barely. They do have bigger sizes, but I don't like the bag too much anyway. So I'm looking for something different where I can fit the board, 2 foils and 3 wings.

How has the experience with Ocean & Earth or Channel islands been?

Well I get the Enduro 1100 started from about 7kts at 80kgs. My next smaller size is the 900 which I use from about 12kts and up. I can't talk about the 1000 but I think that one should get going around 10kts then. I purchased the ug41 but honestly I find it to make the foil very twitchy on the pitch axis.

I then bought the crisp 130 which I am using now for about 6 months, it's very stable and still going fast. Can highly recommend (and it looks cool)

Ok that looks good, but also close to 30kts I figure? Do you always start this board windsurf style or you sometimes sink it?

I use the omen emissary 55l in almost all conditions. Before I got that one, I thought that it's crazy low volume for my 80kg. Turns out I was wrong. I now got myself a used 35l surf foil board, which I didn't try yet, but I feel that it should work from 15kts up. I developed the idea when balancing my pumpfoil board underwater, which was easier than I anticipated. I don't know if it's possible to water start a pumpfoilboard with a wing, but I figure 35l should be doable. I hope I can test it out soon.

check out WFS V7, never rode it myself but heard a lot of good things (at least about the predecessor)

Stretchy said.
Crashing with straps doesn't worry me, I've had big crashes at 35+kts windsurfing and never hurt my feet/ankles

Just that windsurf boards don't have a big anchor beneath them that causes a ton of leverage.
