Anyone used a MidFish with a FoilDrive?
or ridden a MidFish unassisted, paddle prone ?
Im looking for a thinner, lower volume, mid-length board to use with my FoilAssist in both board mounted and backpack mounted.
The specs on the 5'2" MidFish look good, but hard to find any reviews of the board itself

I have used this board with FD unfortunately the connection is no good. It's possible by holding the remote over the vent plug however your arm gets sore after a while. The board is great using the Duotone assist definitely higher performance v FD, however FD is still great you can just feel the weight difference riding the Duotone.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated
Did you have foam in the tracks when using the MidFish with a FoilDrive?
My usual prone board (Konrad) is getting repaired at the moment and I can drive that board completely underwater like a submarine with no foam in the tracks, I have never experienced a signal drop out with the Konrad, so Im used to 100% reliable connectivity.
Whilst my Konrad is getting repaired I used my SMIK ML wing board with my Foil Assist and initially didn't fit foam in the tracks, wow, it it was basically unrideable due to the signal cutting out every time I got a splash of water over the nose. I came in and fitted foam in the tracks and ! Wallah ! great connection and I finally got a decent session on that board. Made me realise how great the Konrad works with FoilAssist.
So I don't want to throw money into a new board only to find that Im going to have signal drops when I use it with Foil Assist board mounted.

If this was a FB group post it would have been blocked for "breaching community standards" due to all the discussions about the benefits of strap ons

Yeah it is disappointing that the FB group have banned discussions about these strap ons which are intended to compliment a product we have all purchased and enjoy from Foil Drive, particularly when they have not released their own solution
I'm also disappointed to hear from people who are potentially benefitting from endorsements from FD that these pods will void your warranty - Sorry not just you Airsail
Can we have directly from FD if warranties are voided if you use a non OEM pod, what part of the warranty is voided and why?
I would have liked to think that people trying to make a well loved object such as the Foil Drive even better would have been in the spirit of the foiling community. I know that these guys aren't Chinees rip off agents, they are FD frothers looking for more froth where there is a gap

My lame attempt at humour was misread.

You have to add the price of the prop too as it's not included.
Then there is the question of support for your expensive toy, is there any? Hopefully not like Manta

As a FYI and digression from the original post, the support for Manta TakeOff in Australia is outstanding. Same time zone, so immediate response and parts are kept in stock. The price of a TakeOff Flow system with 864Wh battery is less than 1/2 of the Fusion with the added advantage of an inrunner motor (sealed unit so no bearing issues, no need for lanolin spray etc)

I know it's easy to slag off the unknown, but my experiences with FoilDrive and now Manta have been extremely positive

It looks like they are reposting old photos of former pro team riders to try and move the last of their gear that they can't seem to sell.

Yep, those screenshots are from Unifoil FB feeds over the past few days. Not quite False Advertising but definitely "Misleading" in my view

I thought I'd start a seperate D Wing thread since Ive just placed an order for a 4.2 at their introductory price
Ive been resisting for the last 2 weeks.....

Gav from Hydrofoil Academy has posted reviews on the BRM, Ensis Roger and has a Flow D Wing review imminent so it will be interesting to see his thoughts on the Flow. I was going to wait for his review, but bugger it...I'm going with the Aussie product
