Agree with others that if no other constraints (parking, etc.) longer (and generally bigger) is better. mine is a LWB Metris (called Vito everywhere else in the world outside the US) and it's great. also recommend a fixed partition for safety and comfort (noise, heating/cooling, etc.).

Two things:

-North Sails has hired Alex Udin to work with Bijl on sail design, who's (was...?) the owner/designer of Phantom. You can clearly see that influence in this proto, which is almost a carbon copy of last year's Phantom foil sail but with different colors (and obviously logo). Langer in his interview earlier already hinted at more affordability and less niche...

-Amado was testing with Pierre in the south of France (Port Camargue) and they switched fin and foil gear; the speeds recorded in the app appear to be on fin, not foil.

Have not tried it but should work ok, especially because of the weight gain of the SLS version.

On the other hand, a more efficient free race option would be to opt for the F Pace cam (has 2 small cams, fairly narrow luff sleeve so is easy to uphaul, has shorter boom/higher aspect than the E, and very good balance between power and stability). I sailed the 7.0 in Garda last year and was very happy with it.

Vincent Langer (GER1) was recently announced as the new product manager for North Windsurfing. Note also the arrival of Alex Udin from (now sadly defunct) Phantom.

I don't have many phobias* windsurfing, but this is one. Have had my share of close (and too close) encounters with fishermen and their equipment over the years. Staying clear obviously the best strategy, but this is not always possible.

*the other one being jetskis, but let's not go off topic
