No, you are correct no protection for the board/mast interface - if your reading this Jacko - imo it would be great if you could add this feature. Some prefer it this way, the latest F4 masts are the same. Pic of the underside of my SSS mast base below for reference.
Haha noted, let me see if I can track those pads down and maybe just offer them as an aftermarket product for the mast. Shouldn't be to hard to sort out.
