You probably have a bar and lines that in the past would have included 4m extension lines maybe.
for some time bars have come with a base 20m line length that use extension lines to get the desired length. these days manufacturers would be not providing the extension lines but offering them as an option and coming up with some excuse to get more money.
remember the good old days when buying a kite meant kite, bar and lines, and pump, and repair kit.
even a video. Soon the bag will be an optional extra.
I think the lines are 18m, with 4m extensions included and I think an additional 2m extensions were included, don't remember now. A bit pointless. But yeah the whole kiting thing is a rort, paying nearly $3k for a new kite then having to sell for $600 a year later if you're lucky not that I would ever do that.
