We might see sailGP having a serious think about the racing format. It's a bit like the early days of Formula 1 motor racing. The drivers were pretty exposed back then. There's an accepted ratio of near misses to serious accidents.

Just googled it. It's 1 severe accident to 29 minor accidents and 300 near misses.

Or maybe they don't want the solid 23knot repair bills? The practice session on Tuesday was next level above 15-20. They'll go plenty fast in 15-20 if they rig the right wing. Today's forecast is about the same. It's now 1.30, It's currently 10-15. The old question. what are they going to rig?

Racing scheduled between 1.00 and 2.30pm? I know the Ledge to Lancelin tried to start early, but that was to keep it safe picking up stragglers in daylight. Spent hours baking in the sun waiting for the breeze to kick in.
