If this was a FB group post it would have been blocked for "breaching community standards" due to all the discussions about the benefits of strap ons

Yeah it is disappointing that the FB group have banned discussions about these strap ons which are intended to compliment a product we have all purchased and enjoy from Foil Drive, particularly when they have not released their own solution
I'm also disappointed to hear from people who are potentially benefitting from endorsements from FD that these pods will void your warranty - Sorry not just you Airsail
Can we have directly from FD if warranties are voided if you use a non OEM pod, what part of the warranty is voided and why?
I would have liked to think that people trying to make a well loved object such as the Foil Drive even better would have been in the spirit of the foiling community. I know that these guys aren't Chinees rip off agents, they are FD frothers looking for more froth where there is a gap

My lame attempt at humour was misread.

Sorry Cameron, yes I did get your humour and tried to pay homage to it with my reply at the beginning
I just had a bit of sh!t to get of my liver
All good now, foil on Breezers

I put my feedback on the Slick Pod after my first session on another thread, but in summary I was really impressed both with the build & the performance
I liked the Slick Pod due to the "band" holding the motor mount on the mast being quite wide yet not too thick meaning it looks like it will provide the most torsional support while reducing the drag impact
Sure there are concessions to be made with these new style pods compared to the integrated masts, however for me the investment in the Slick Pod compared to the cost of an integrated mast, upgraded motor as I don't believe my original motor will be compatible then a new HP battery because no point having the HP motor with out one....
Not to mention that the Code integrated mast is still not released nor is the Foil Drive new pod
It will be interesting when they are what is the difference between these new reduced drag pods & the integrated masts
The thousands I have saved on the Slick Pod might be able to go into new foils

Just had my first session with the Slick Pod, had some good chats with Rick before I pulled the trigger to buy which gave me comfort
The Pod looks good, well designed & fits real snug on the mast
First impressions, so much nicer to carry the Foil Drive & board over my shoulder down to the beach with out the bulb
Got going much faster than previously both before popping up and after the pop up when I can sink the board back down as I stand.
Where I felt it the most was doing turns onto a wave where I am having the props in the water, previously it would bog down but now it just rips around.
I had a great time & could almost call it a game changer
Great to see someone create something which improves an already great thing in the Foil Drive & make it better

Was looking up on the net today and see there is a new model with the battery mounted under the board
foildrive.com.au/collections/kits/products/foil-drive-assist-max
foildrive.com.au/pages/assist-max
Am thinking of getting an FD and keen to hear peoples report on the Max
Just came to terms with spending the cash, now need to stretch the budget further
Anyone out there tried them as part of the R&D who can now talk about it?
