Anyone used a MidFish with a FoilDrive?
or ridden a MidFish unassisted, paddle prone ?
Im looking for a thinner, lower volume, mid-length board to use with my FoilAssist in both board mounted and backpack mounted.
The specs on the 5'2" MidFish look good, but hard to find any reviews of the board itself

I have used this board with FD unfortunately the connection is no good. It's possible by holding the remote over the vent plug however your arm gets sore after a while. The board is great using the Duotone assist definitely higher performance v FD, however FD is still great you can just feel the weight difference riding the Duotone.

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated
Did you have foam in the tracks when using the MidFish with a FoilDrive?
My usual prone board (Konrad) is getting repaired at the moment and I can drive that board completely underwater like a submarine with no foam in the tracks, I have never experienced a signal drop out with the Konrad, so Im used to 100% reliable connectivity.
Whilst my Konrad is getting repaired I used my SMIK ML wing board with my Foil Assist and initially didn't fit foam in the tracks, wow, it it was basically unrideable due to the signal cutting out every time I got a splash of water over the nose. I came in and fitted foam in the tracks and ! Wallah ! great connection and I finally got a decent session on that board. Made me realise how great the Konrad works with FoilAssist.
So I don't want to throw money into a new board only to find that Im going to have signal drops when I use it with Foil Assist board mounted.

I put foam in the tracks and even let a friend try it with FD and we both had the same result. It does work with remote over vent if you can put up with it, it's a great board and the shape is so similar to a fish surfboard I used to ride before foiling took over.

This should be released from Foildrive in the near future, clips on or off any mast without tools or removing the stator, perfect for prone. It's a slick bit of gear as you would expect from Foildrive and keeps your warranty intact. Should be about the same price as the current universal pod.

That looks good and hopefully it comes out soon, I couldn't wait being impatient also my FD Max is 1 1/2 yrs old now out of warranty worth taking the punt on the zip pod

I just ordered the Zip Pod for myself and 3 other people on the Central Coast should have some feedback in about 3 weeks. I chose this product as it fits perfectly without a stretchy band holding the pod which does move, also the ability to cut the ties without removing the motor to use your mast for prone or wing. I was told by the owner Brad there have been quite a few orders from Australia since release a few months ago. The feedback is great and testing using a fire truck hose couldn't blow it off which is much more pressure than we use Foil driving.

Will Sproule from WSS Boards rode one in the Northern Beaches 20 Beaches Downwind race (he won the Foil Assist Division) and was absolutely ripping on one at Merimbula Classic in November where he won King of the Classic.

Will also won the contest Foilfest at Plumber earlier this year, I hope to make it next year and will probably ride the Duotone assist. This is a session I had on the Crest foil using my FD at my local spot the Crest foil is next level share.icloud.com/photos/02daQwIOn4H8ozEJYevUWDcDQ
