A strong high pressure system to the southeast continues to direct fresh and gusty east to southeast winds across the region. Winds will begin to ease from Wednesday as the high pressure system moves away to the southeast and a broad trough becomes established over the Kimberley and Pilbara regions.
Weather Situation for Southern and Central Western Australia
A high pressure system in the Bight is slowly moving whilst a trough remains near the west coast. The trough will move inland from the west coast on Tuesday, ahead of a weak cold front forecast to brush along the south coast overnight Tuesday and Wednesday. A high pressure ridge will rapidly develop along the south coast on Thursday and Friday in the wake of the cold front.
