Camping and foiling north of Gladstone

Hi all, I'm wanting to plan a 2 week camping and wing foiling trip in early April. Can anyone suggest locations north of Gladstone? My main restriction will be that I have my dog with me. Any advice would be really appreciated.

If north of the one in Oregon then Hood River would be the obvious place

We go up that way every April I wing Bowen at queen's beach and the harbour.
