EVENT ENTRIES ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN!!
Please see weblink below for direct event page address
windsurfingwa.org.au/public/schedule/events/15675-windtech-and-ka-sail-cervantes-windsurf-challenge-2018
FYI Competitors and non-competitors can purchase the event T-shirt and salad rolls.
The salad rolls are delivered to the event site both days at around midday. Adjusted to suit the wind/event conditions ever so slightly to be fresh :)
NOTE: salad rolls are discounted for the event and will be more expensive at the cafe.
Also T-shirt will need to be put into production so obviously there is a cutoff date that will be officially added to the page for these of approximately the 2 weeks before the event at the latest.
Enjoy
Hi all current/future entrants and future CWC2018 happy campers.
Just an update to the event: Everything is going very well and many obstacles and problems have been overcome to get this event going and to get the sponsors on board.
There is one small issue with the tshirt printing that i need to bring to all possible entrants attention. Due to the printing companies closing down over xmas and opening up after the event has been run, we will need to have all the orders and sizes completed before the 10th of December.
Please enter the event before the 10th of December otherwise you may not get the tshirt size that you are wishing for or not one at all if it goes gangbusters
We have over 10 entrants already from around the world and hoping to get more in early. The incentive. A Well designed trendy tshirt with the size and amount that you have ordered
See below for Tshirt sizing chart:
Yep - looks like plenty of wind on both days. Hopefully plenty of racing on Sunday too (as that is the only day I can make it).
We have over 30 competitors and a heap of support crew to run this event.
A quaified and experience race officer and experience sailor Stu's old man to help.
We have a experience sailing driver on the 6m RIB rescue boat, plus a start boat JBVSRG
Finish judges, JB Sea rescue, trailers, portable toilets and most important of all EPIC FORECAST AND LOCATION to sail flatwater slalom
Best part is i have strategically placed the gybe marks in the flattest water possible. At least 2 are in mirror flat waters to help the tired arms.
Get down and support the event and a great night at the country club with over $3500 of Lotto prizes, and $4000 event prize pool. You are highly likely to get back more than your entry money
As part of entry you will get free event tshirt, plus fish and chips Sunday for all competitors at the Lobster Shack after racing. BYO alcohol
This was a great event and blessed with awesome wind once again. I only made it to day 2 and had to go pretty easy as I sprained my ankle a few days before, but still enjoyed some great racing in challenging conditions. It was great to see some young sailors leading the charge, even if they weren't Aussies.
Thanks again to Isaac and the rest of the organisers.
Its anyone going to post pictures, videos and results in this thread?
Great video and thanks for posting. Thanks to all the sponsors and organisers including much respect to Isaac for organising, conditions looked awesome. Next year in Cervantes !

Great Edit considering the real tricky conditions served up for filming.
