So, we've had the season opening social at Rodney's in Mosman Park for the last few years in part as some of the committee live nearby so in the interest of a little variety does anyone have any suggestions of alternative venues or another thumbs up for Rodney's again. We were thinking of Friday 12th October. Thoughts.....

Something youth and family friendly would be my view.

Massive p1ss up and good band with food vans, in Geraldton.
Maybe a DJ and chillout zones too.

TBH I reckon the best one ever was at Salt, lots of room to sit down in groups and talk, and playing a windsurf video was good.
FWIW when I can't go anyway lol

What about one of the yacht clubs duel promotion cheep drinks and food also raises money for a yacht club and always grass for kids to run around and you can see the water that's my 5 cents

We anticipate the kids sessions will be very sociable and inclusive of all ages, but we will still do a pub based get together for the start of the season. Given the lack of other ideas/people coming forward to organise something and the great atmosphere, music, decor and marine artefacts at Rodney's we'll head back there. Nothing booked, just turn up, have a drink, shoot the s!#t and discuss who's mast is the right stiffness this season. See you there...
