Below is the latest flier from the DOT regarding Lifejackets and the required standards. Basically if you have a non-Australian made PFD i.e. every windsurfing specific PFD on the market, you need to ensure it is marked with Level 50. My NP PFD has this in huge printing on the inside.

If it's your size Chad, i.e. you are less than or equal to 70kg then it's perfect.
