Who is keen for this long weekend.
Forecast is looking good. Light Sat freshening for Sunday / Monday.
All who raced last year will tell you what a great location it is.
Race Details - TBA ( Bender may be able to help if he is not otherwise engaged.)

Yep its on again the KBSC March long weekend regatta.

There will be racing on Saturday and Sunday. Monday morning will be the "Cock of the Bay" I would have thought "Snides would be the dead set favorite for that one but along as he stays clear of any random moored boat!!

Get there mid morning on Saturday to register, Racing starts at 2PM. You can pay per day (approx $15) so come down. Its all laid on. The racing will be short and sharp windward return style.

We will have our own class and start line.

Its great fun and the best way to improve your sailing (I'm just waiting for mine to improve). I need some more sailors to join me at the the rear end of the fleet Come down, bring the kids it really family friendly.

You can crash at my place if you get stuck for accommodation.

Ha yes they are the mines left for unsuspecting u boat captains like myself
They are set directly in front of the club so it's right in everyone's view.
As for the pic I think it's one of mine...
Infact it might of been that tri hull crap that hit me? Prob karma for my years of bagging cat sailors
This location is sensational for sailing corse or formula one of the best spots in Wa IMO.
Awesome beer garden looking over the bay.
And walking distance to the centre of town from the club.
I have been visiting this club on and off since 1964..
I will try and get some location pics for posting here over the weekend.

I should add big slalom boards could/can be pretty competitive here as well..
Even tho the courses will probably be sausages (windward/return) if there's enough wind
Slalom could dominate.
Shane sailed a great race against the formulas a couple of weeks ago..coming 3rd.

Forecast is looking better for Saturday all the time. Windguru has it at 10 / 11 knots all afternoon. About the same as we had the other weekend.
Cock race on Monday looking the goods too :))

Any body like a 10.0 TR7 rig to use or buy for the weekend?

Hey Ben, have you got a Notice of Race for the regatta?

Couldn't find one on the KBSC website.

I am assuming there will be racing in the morning on the Sunday wind permitting?

Also what time is the Cock of Bay usually run?

With Monday's forecast looking good I'm thinking a Liptons stopover might be called for on the way home

Saturday - 2 races first one starts at 2pm
Sunday 3 races - 10am and then two in the arvo starting at 2pm
Monday - Cock of the bay 8.30 or 9am

This arvo it was windy enough around 10-15knts nice and steady
