With Easterlies at Safety bay , Carlisle rd boat ramp, if I launch off the beach, what line should I follow to have a great sail? Friday is set for good wind, and I'm eager to get back out.

Hi mate,

Easterly = offshore and super gusty!! I would only suggest the pond if your very desperate. Why not wait a few days until the southerlys return

I was thinking that, today was SE and no-one out at all. I was hoping for a run out to the spit, the pond would be straight over and back, no long runs at all. I'm never sure where North is when I'm there!

Sail the pond, put that boat channel to some sort of good use by using it to sail out a bit.

Not too far though, the next stop's Africa if something goes wrong

Try Mandurah estuary or pelican point on the river. If your desperate worth a drive.

I have some good sessions at SB on easterlies. Especially in the morning.
Sail out from Carlisle St. and just don't go out too far. Worst comes to worst and you drift to Penguin Island sand bar and walk back.
Just make sure it's ESE to SSE
