Knew I should've gone there Instead I found out why no-one sails at Mettams in winter. From the footpath it felt cross-on but on the water it was really onshore and almost calm inside the reef. Got washed over the cheese grater at the northern end a few times Need a new boom grip now. Was super lumpy outside too, maybe from reflected waves but not sure why it would be worse than in the usual SW.

I went out at metts around 3 got a couple of runs in good swell but wind dropped got washed onto those rocks new hole in the luff. Packed up on a huff did the chicken run to cott.
