If your a begginer who's progressed and now wants something a bit more advanced than your 140-160 litre widestyle board...
Im looking to swap my Mistral Syncro 103 freeride for something a bit beefier.
Its in awesome shape and comes with a mistral freemove 32 fin (Kai Hopf) and NP padded travel bag.
Only looking to swap as its just a little bit too advanced for me, and I dont want to risk damaging such a beautiful board through novice errors.

Im not quite sure to be honest. I guess I'll know the right board when I see it.
Ive got a few personal goals I want to achieve this season like:
1, surfing in the straps
2, powering through my gybes
3, more confidence direct downwinding (hooked in)
4, and I want to start surfing in the sea.
Im still uphauling and Ive realised I need to match my ability with the equipment especially if im surfing pt danger etc.
Don't want to sound like an old pain but build your skill out of the surf. if you are still up hauling get into the flat water and be really confident to crash and be back up quick. I find pointing up wind an getting home more of an issue than down wind on a smaller board you have heaps of good gear maybe just need a second board a touch bigger in the 120 range and spend a few more days at point henry as I see you sail around geelong just building up really strong skills clearing the sail and jumping back on. Believe me I have lots of expereanec at falling off. Don't ditch the gear just keep at it and maybe add a board with a few more lts

Yeah, I agree the kit is great!
But its just the board Im trying to tailor to my skill.
Like you said something with a few more litres for a season or two.
Id never part with my North and Gun sail quiver, I get wood just rigging them up!
I know I'll regret swapping the board in a year from now as its a beaut, but the benefits for me this season will be greater with a fat boy under my feet !!
Im progressing nicely thanks to the spots round Gtown getting good wind and of course, the advice from here.

I just remembered I have a 120 litre BIC astro rock in the garage (just moved my sails and there it was!!)
I can practice waterstarting and stuffaroony on this short beast, and not feel too bad if it dies (as I picked it up for $20!)
then I'll break out the mistral when Ive sorted the skills.......

I was an uphauler for a long, long time. Seriously the best ever experience for me was to master the waterstart, from there short boarding will be all your's. Practice in save waters and get some DVDs to hone the skills. Good Luck.
