I'm hoping the last two months have been really unseasonally rubbish

It's so miserable. There's no wind at all. When there is, it lasts twenty minutes, and then God laughs at me.

I must have done something wrong in a past life

I had an awesome wavesail out the front of inverloch life saving club today, was well worth the drive as there was no wind here on the bay, yet down there I was comfortably powered up on my 5.0 in 3-5 foot waves planing all day!

hahahahahhahahahah, look Ginger, i think there could be more wind back in the U.K. my friend. Look to be honest i know it sucks to have to drive to the pit or inverloch, but there the only places that seem to still blow. One thing in victoria if you are going to be a windsurfer, you need a car on LPG. cause you soon learn that all the wind blows on the far SE or West coast. And melbourne sucks cause not like QLd or NSW our city is miles from the coast. So you need a car that does not drink much. Sadly the bay seems to only work in winter now.

Anyway me and me bro are sick of the windless bay or the bay that blows only for 30 mins a 25 knot southly, then vanishes. we both said today it is not worth windsurfing any more and we are both heading to inverloch for a now on. I think i might head there tomorrow.

Sure has been crap so far this spring and summer. Even last year when we had crappy SE winds forecast in the Bay it was far better to drive to Inverloch or even the PIT where it was usually 25knots. Se la vie.

I prefer the Pagan's way...might not bring any wind...but I'd rather be part of a sexual ritual than an animal slaughter

...better way to pass the time!

Go for a pig. It's bigger so should make the wind Gods happier and you can spit roast it afterwards!

there's only one thing for it.

Lets kill an inflatable goat and an inflatable pig at Green point at Sunset on Friday.

Bring burning torches, your best druid outfit, a grey beard (and not a hat - avoid looking like the clan and some beer) and anything else you think might help

i think we should get SHQ and RPS to sponsor the event as well and make it green point the place where all the windsurfers meet to slaughter the goat. we could after have a beer and all talk about when melbourne use to be windy.

sun set, friday calling all windsurfers for the slaughter

will be free beer
and a sausage sizzle
every one welcome and bring ya chicks

I'm sure it's an offense to engage in a sexual ritual with an inflatable goat, or pig, and then to kill it.

Is that one of those new hydrofoil type fins?

Back on topic though, another pi$$ weak seabreeze again today barely making 20 knots

Weird eh... No, just the midday sun casting a shadow onto the sandy bottom making it look like i'm flying. Pretty amazing really, and testimony to how clear the water is, cos its gotta be 3-4 foot deep that far out at least.

Wow, looks a bit nicer than Sandringham did yesterday. My experience with water depth at the PiT, if it looks shallow it probably is!!!!!.

There at last was a bit of a seabreeze tonight. Stronger up near the City but I got a half decent sail in at Beaumaris on the Love Muss large , 7.1 KaRace proto and C3 42. Very fast kit, spent the whole time trying to slow it down in the chop!!

like i say inverloch and the pit are the only places that have wind now. so fellas better get use to it. my good friend windaddict sailed inverloch surf beach on his 5.0 saturday, with a smile on his face, while i was at home crying all day cause there was no wind. so the next day i went and again inverloch was windy, with a nice breeze blowing in the afternoon. i was on me trusty Ka Koncept 6.6 fully powered up over near the second sand bar all afternoon and went home totally nackered. think i got home at about 10 pm at night and went straight to bed. good to see all the inverloch club back out sailing again.

Max speed 18.9 knots, planned about 60% fell off twice!@#$%^&*(and stopped for a piss once)
With that form I am sure to win next year!!!
