The wind came up to about 15-20 knots. was abit gusty earlier on. i was on me jp excite 120 and trusty 5.4 alpha and bouncing around like a yo yo. but hey, still had abit of fun. while every one else had little sinkers with big 5.7 wave sails. there were about 20 guys out and about 6 kiters. g the kiters dont give way to you at rickets. one kiter nearly hit me mast with his lines. i had to drop me sail and duck.
think it should be back on tomorrow at rickets if any one else wants to head down there the wind should be ok, i think. i think the best part of the afternoon was not only windsurfing such a awesome beach, but watching a guy pull some awesome loops right in front of me when i was not on a plane. i had the best view. i have to get a go pro cam.

Dont know if i will be able to get a sail in now tomorrow now i stepped on a sea urchant today at rickets. i have like 6 stuck in foot. i had ago at picking them out tonight, but just made it worse. so off to the doctors for me tomorrow. thanks alot rickets point.

Down my way the doctors dont even know what a windsurfer is. so wil be interesting to see what he says when i tell him i was windsurfing and stepped on a sea urchant.

Yep - It was another great session! Ricketts is sensational on an Easterly...although can get a bit cramped with the kiters...

The JP Freestyle and 5.3 Firefly was awesome - so early to plane - I'm totally loving the new seasons gear!!!

Summer is shaping up to be a good one based on the first week of daylight savings.

Fingers crossed for a wavesail at Sandy Point today.

Good luck with the urchins windtechno.

I just got back from the hospital. I had 8 removed in me foot. The indian doctor did not even know what a sea urchin was. Well he did a ok job removing them tho. I said to him I was windsurfing off a reaf 60 m out at rickets point. He replyed with a strange look. windsurfing whats that?? I said to him I was windsurfing over near the city at black rock and he replys 'ha' He did not understand a word I said. Any way he did a good job ripping em out. So right now I have a bandaged foot and I am dreaming about sandy point what it would of been like. cause that was me plan for to day. to head east and find some more wind with me bro.

last weekend i broke me boom and put me hand through me sail at inverloch on a speed run.

and this week i stepped on a sea urchin at rickets point

i am amazed i still like windsurfing

looks like we are in for a windy week of north westerlys and a few southlys. not fair i want to go back to rickets and practise some side shore jumping in the good old SE there. now we all have to wait a while looks like for a SE to blow in again.

urchin tips.....

get yourself a pair of tweezers

DONT squeeze the surrounding skin...like you do with zits ,, instead pull the skin apart and grab the head of the spike with your tweezers... helps if you have a third hand

THANKS windy miller. i had a go at it but pushed them in further. thet are such hard little dudes to get out of ya foot. your right tho you are best not squeezing them as it makes it worse. they tend to push in further real easy. oh well the doc got em out with the help of me and my brother. today me foot is abit sore but a can of red bull will fix that and i will be back out in the water today. hey windy miller head to inverloch bro. me and me bro are thinking about it. it starting to blow at the prom right now.

If you want to get rid of sea urchins, there's a guy who specialises in it on Hampton Street in Hampton (he's got a chiropodist shop out the back of a shoe shop - called "little feet" or something similar)

He got rid of three of mine after I walked across some rocks to save a fin at ricketts (false economy)
