It cracked the 50 knots mark, wind speed at melbourne air port today. check the BOM thats what she says 50 knots and 90 k winds. And it got to 48 knots at kite beach, st kilda. Wonder if any kiters went out. even now it says its still blowing 33 knots, wsw at kite beach.

A strong cold front will move rapidly across the east of the State tonight, leaving a relatively cold and squally southwest airflow over the State on Wednesday and Thursday. Another cold front will approach Bass Strait later on Friday, moving over Tasmania on Saturday.
