Probably going down to Sandy as well on Saturday, for as much of the day as possible.

I'm staying in Inverloch so will be out on Sunday though.

BTW does anyone know what the most accurate forecast and current wind speed reading are for Sandy? For the forecast I'm looking at the BOM Central Coast Forecast.

what are the chances of a seabreeze today?

if the wind does end up coming from the north, would sandy point be a better option than inverloch?

Hi Haircut,
The seabreeze is not likely today...the wind is backing around to the North ahead of a cold front coming through at noon-ish. Should be good on the Inlet late arvo as the tide drops.
SW is also the direction for The Pit (Sandy Point)...might be worth a drive, although I'd check the tide.

cheers,
Mick

Tristan, Windguru is good for forecasts for Sandy Point: www.windguru.cz/15753 - you can also use the options button top right and apply Mat's correction which gives a better reading for S to W winds, although it ends up similar to the recently added "wind gusts" figure.

Haircut, Sandy Point can be good in a N or NW if you head out left from the carpark area and up towards Yanakie - long runs up there on any tide - across the shallow water over banks on a high tide and in the channel in the low tide.

I am hoping to head to Inverloch tomorrow (Sat) with my partner Lari for more lessons for her - if she doesn't imbibe too much "festive spirit" tonight!
